Water is tooo cold right now...maybe within a few weeks! Accessible and safe area would be along the Airline Hwy.---past the airport heading west and/or along Alameda Road just off the Airline towards the river!

Crawfish are available now, guess there farm raised.Don't know if you could catch any right now,but it still would be a good way to spend a couple of hours. Very expensive to buy I hear.

$3.75/lb LIVE and near/or over $5./lb BOILED!!! For the actual yield of 4lbs of crawfish...better to buy steak. Imports are crushing our commercial crawfisher...I guess soon there will be TED's required in crawfish traps. John Castelluccio, Jr.

You should try along the Chef hwy towards powers junction. There is a road that leads to Air Products by Stan's truck stop. Go scouting back there also.

Let me know if you find em.

FWIW, they are not in the Pearl River Swamp yet.

Another season is upon us for crawfishing. The pearl river is rising again so it will be a week or so before i can "test the waters". In the meantime, has anyone had any success yet? I saw a few cars fishing for them along i-10 by the la/ms border but don't know if they are catching. I'll let you know when i find em.

Been seeing people craw fishing along rd from Phoenix to pt ala hache marina. There is. Wide ditch on side of rd. probably saw about 10 parties last weekend. Some had very elaborate setups so I would venture to sAy that there's crawfish there.

Katrina took all of my ditch and deep water crawfish nets (total of eight dozen) along with four-dozen all handmade crab nets. Have since replaced the crab nets...who makes/sells good quality crawfish nets (NOT CHINESE JUNK)??? John Castellluccio, Jr.
